Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Claudia Donovan | Warehouse 13
Claudia had seen a lot of things that most would consider unbelievable, had experienced things that people would think she made up, but finding herself on a flying boat might have rivaled a lot of that. From what she'd seen, there was no logical reason why the boats where flying - no engines, and nothing that looked like an artifact that she could see.
Network CommShe'd hopped off the boat and with hands planted on her hips, she looked around, mouth set stubbornly. Just because she couldn't see an artifact didn't mean there wasn't one there. She pulled out her farnsworth and tried to see if she had any kind of connection to the Warehouse - but nothing but static.
"Frak," she muttered before shoving the small device back in her bag before she realized that someone was standing nearby holding what looked like a phone and a map. "Uh, thanks?" she said as she took them and looked them over. Okay, curiouser and curiouser. She shoved those in her bag as well, telling herself that she'd look them over when she wasn't around so many people.
Right now she had an artifact to find.
"Excuse me!" she called out to someone as they neared her. "Have you happened to smell fudge anywhere around here?"
[And here's Claudia, goggles on and wearing purple gloves. She looks a little peeved at first but she sighs and shrugs her shoulders.]
Right. So I've pretty much tried everything I can to figure out what's going on here but nada. [Aka, she's attempted to goo everything that's not nailed down.]
But lemme know if you smell anything like fudge or see something strange, out of place - which isn't saying much because I'm pretty sure there's a lot out of place here. [She shrugs her shoulders again.]
So, uh -- hello, world-- islands? The name's Claudia, Claudia Donovan, tech genius extraordinaire, badass hacker. Pretty shmancy place here, I'll give this place that with it's old school palace and flying boats or whatever.
If someone can fill me in on anything they know, that'd be cool because I don't like being kept in the dark about stuff.

"Get a lot of those?" she asked before looking down at the screen. Nothing. Ugh worst ever.

"I've been here for, um... three months at this point," Gabriel says after he finishes taking a moment to tally up the time.
Re: Claudia Donovan | Warehouse 13
[Have a super cheery redhead wearing her VR goggles from around 2080 Claudia! Her own laptop and mini Tomato could be spotted in the background of the video.]
Just as in the dark as you are, especially since Ed was on her way to the arrival port on Ganymede.
But why is smelling fudge a bad thing? Because fudge is tasty.
Network
Fudge? Why fudge? [ He looks at the googles and the gloves. ]
Where do you go to school that has uniforms like that?
no subject
I don't go to school. I'm 21, I've been outta school for years.
Comm
You can't just call yourself that, else you might be a poser. Gotta prove it.

[SERIOUSLY?! THERE'S A TALKING LION ON HER SCREEN!]

[Seriously, she's about to disconnect now. What a dick.]

[Unless she wants to count the fact he's wearing a kilt, but that's not really something that's occurring to him right now. As far as he's concerned, it's perfectly normal. More normal than goggles and gloves, at any rate, and he tilts his head slightly as he takes those in.]
What would smelling fudge have to do with anything, though? You're not making some, are you?
no subject
It's a thing where I come from... It sometimes, uh, helps pinpoint things that make weird stuff like this happen.

[That's a new enough idea to him that for a few seconds he looks quite confused. However, he's not immune to smiles from bonny lasses, and even though he really doesn't understand how that would even work, he finds himself smiling back at her.]
Wish there were more places that used that sort of thing around. Can't say as I'd mind pinpointing something because it smelled good. I'm afraid I've not noticed anything like that around here, though, miss...ah, sorry, I'd not caught your name.
