Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

When the boy spoke, the archmage had been stopped and had his gaze directed towards the palace. "Do I?" he answered in a soft, flat monotone voice.
Only after a moment longer did Medivh look at Adam before stationing his tall greatstaff (which stood on its own) and pulled back his hood. "Why do you think that?"
no subject
"I mean, unless you know exactly where you're going." A beat. "Maybe it's just that you don't look like you have a set destination. Not like most people around here."
As he spoke, Adam's eyes slid sideways, away from Medivh and over to the greatstaff. Most things didn't stand up like that all by themselves. He couldn't help but stare a little.

The mage left that to whatever interpretation the young man might have, though he felt as if Adam would understand, more so than any of the others he'd happened to interact with up until now.

Slowly, he nodded. "How's it going so far?" He had to know, just on principle. Maybe it would give him a little insight of his own. And then, because he could, he gestured slightly towards the greatstaff. "And out of curiosity, how's your staff do that?"
no subject
"I would say very well." Medivh said, glancing up with only his eyes. He released the orb and in less time than it took to blink, it was gone. "The staff yields its own power from much the same kind of energy it took to create the magic."
The display was not meant to show off in any way. Rather, it was shown to give the other a better understanding without confusing him with words.

But nothing quite like out of a fantasy movie, not like this. This was like everyone's true version of magic, and he was all right with it.
Actually, he was really curious as to if he could do that one day.
"That's part of this place, isn't it? The energy you're using." It was speculation, of course, but his experiences lent themselves to it: not drawing power from oneself, but from an outside source. "You're tapping into whatever's keeping this place afloat?"
no subject
Well, there was the portal incidents, but why bother talking about the failures.
