Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

"But he probably should work on his dodging." Honestly, how did Chiron not assign him classes to help with that? Maybe since no one could understand a word he said, with him always talking in Portuguese. "I'd love the help. My skills are more toward healing, but I'd love to get better with weaponry." It was hard always having to rely more on others to defend you. But, no one was good at everything. He understood that.
"What kind of soldiers do you train? What kind of weapons?"

"I command the Inquisition's army, currently the largest army in Thedas. We deal with fighting physical and magical enemy, plus a few demons and the like thrown into the mix. Weaponry is mostly swords, or daggers for the rogues. I know a little archery as well, but I mostly use a sword and shield." And he had a few other tricks to stop magic, but he tried not to use them unless he absolutely had to.

Will gave Cullen a smile, trying to explain. "We take training very seriously. Camp Half Blood is one of the only safe places for my kind. Outside of it, most don't reach their teens. Even with the Camp it's rare for a half-blood to make it to 20. We step out of it, and we're in danger of being hunted and killed by monsters while we're in school or getting groceries. The Camp is protected, so we train. The 3 legged death race where Paolo got a leg cut off? A little extreme. It was built by an 8 year old. And no one wanted to disappoint him, he'd just lost a brother."
And he took in Cullen's explanations about how they fought physical and magical enemies, and that was where he got confused. He knew they were from different worlds and all that, that much was obvious. They just didn't have anything like that where was from. So, he asked, "What's the difference? Also, I'd love to get better with a sword. As a son of Apollo it doesn't really come naturally." But he also knows there's a possibility a time will come when he cant rely on his lacking bow skills or Nico or his other campers. He needed to be ready when he finally...if he finally left Camp. That was where you found out if you were any good or not. In the regular world. As monster bait.

But he focused back on the boy. His world sounded horrific, if he were being honest, with monsters chasing people down in cold blood. So he made it his pledge to answer questions honestly. "Most people in my world...," - and how odd was that to say? - "...have no access to magic. The way we fight is purely physical, hitting each other in an attempt to wound and kill them. Then we have mages, who have access to a lot of spells. Those have to be treated in a different way on the battlefield. Most normal soldiers don't know how to fight mages. My job is to make sure that everyone in my army has the best chance of survival at the end of the day."
