Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Elrond had been out and about trying to find something to occupy himself in this oh so human city. He keenly felt the absence of those he loved, and those he had known, both at home, and in the place that had been home, for one small source of time.

He walked those aisles, the market reminding him of the bustling of market day in days of yore.

And oh so human, were most of them. So young. He felt like an old man, and a tired one. once more separated from his wife, and from his people.

And then... he saw her.

Elrond was not a man to act quickly, most days. He had been known to stage thinks that lasted so long even Ents thought him overly slow. But in that moment? His eyes flared with a joy unkindled since he had been ripped from home, and on one hand, Vilya flared as well. Air bloomed around him and lifted him and then he was landing before her, going to one knee, the smile on his face as utterly unlike him as any might see. And yet... he knew this girl, this being.

"Star, most revered. A greeting."

It is not without the peel of a delighted laughter, the reaction of a Star that seems neither shocked nor startled. If surprise it might be, could be, isn't, it is still with peerless joy when even affectation has not on her to make mask or merry. She brightens in her laughter, and her smile. A sound of the clearest, tinkling. Not of bells but of the light and warmth that no darkness can stand beside or swallow in entire.

"'Lass a lalaith, Lord of the Dome and the Valley," Star chooses, brilliant of brilliances.

The stars are ever hers, and she theirs, genesis seed, and with this one, has she so walked, time and again, and with promises most due. Star raised a hand through the air, delicate and graceful, not as though she touch gravity or air, but that it moved for her to make way. "Will you not rise? Stars do not ever their best when they are laid low."

"Le nathlam hí, oh Lady of Inspiration and Hope."

Elrond swept her a smiling bow, and rose, and to her, he nodded. "Then rise I must, for you do raise me up, as your light does bring me joy, every even. As my daughter was named after you, for the joy you bring that few others know." And though the words were flowery, they were utterly sincere.
