Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

New Arrival

The last thing Beth remembers is Grady Memorial Hospital. The survivors there that had been responsible for her "rescue" trading her and Carol for two of their people. Demanding that Noah be left behind as well. She remembers being so angry, angry beyond all reason. Noah was her friend, and he wanted to leave, and it was unfair to hold him against his will. It wasn't about protection, or starting something new, trying to start a new society. It was about power, and holding it over someone else.

She remembers attacking Dawn with a pair of scissors she had hidden inside the cast on her right arm. She remembers a loud bang as the officer's gun went off, and a flash of pain and... Nothing.

Except for waking up on the boat. Waking up on the floating boat, surrounded by strangers, while her head throbbed along to her heart, pounding in her chest. She lifts a hand to check for the stitches in her head and along her cheek, and they're gone. She realizes too, that there's no longer a cast on her wrist. It still aches, but it's tolerable. She tries questioning the people on the boat about where they are, how they got there, and where they're going, but unfortunately, the other passengers on board seem just as lost as she is.

The boat pulls into the port, and they all disembark, and Beth is overwhelmed by the sheer number of people milling around. At home, with the dead up and walking, small pockets of survivors are common, but nothing like this. This is a little terrifying. If the same virus was at work here, it would be the major cities back in the States all over again. There would be virtually no chance of survival.

The locals hand over a map and a communications device that reminds her of a smartphone, but by the time she looks up from her newly procured belongings to ask what's going on, they've already moved on.

It's a flurry of sights and sounds and activity that all blurs together, and it takes her a few seconds to find her voice, and grab someone by the arm. "Hey - Hey - Do you know what's going on here? Where are we? What is this place?"
