Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
no subject
Lizzie has never seen a non-human before - well, that's not precisely true; she's seen the shambling dead a-plenty. But they were human before they acquired their taste for brains, and Elizabeth is quite certain this...man? Creature? Person, let us settle on person - has never been a human in his life.
Her mother would be appalled at what she's doing now, but her mother (and her very strident voice) aren't present, and so Elizabeth makes her way to the Bull unhindered.
"I beg your pardon," There may be no equivalent to the accent of the English countrified gentry where he is from, but then again, perhaps there is, "I do hope you won't think me terribly rude, but I've never seen anyone quite like you before and if you're not terribly offended, might I ask -
what manner of person are you, precisely?"
She then colors. "I beg your pardon," she says again, "Quite rude of me even to begin with, not introducing myself." She bobs a curtsey, the sword and pistol briefly touched so they don't jostle before her gloved hands move away. "Miss Elizabeth Bennet. How do you do?"

So he seems more amused than anything when he catches little prim and proper staring at him. Maybe he is a little surprised that she actually talks to him instead of scurrying off to whisper behind her hand but he reminds himself that this isn't Orlais or at least he doesn't think it is. Really, this place doesn't look like anything from home that he has ever come across.
His one good eye seems to sparkle a bit as she actually asks him what manner of person he is. Maybe she doesn't know about the Qunari.
"You can call me The Iron Bull." Yes, there is a bit of emphasis on The. "And I do fine besides having no idea where I am or what is going on. As for what manner of person I am, what manner of person do you want me to be?"
no subject
Her smile, however, increases. "I only mean to say, it's clear that while you are most distinctly a person, you are obviously not a human being. Rather, Mr. Iron Bull," Calling him The Iron Bull when directly addressing him seems awkward, and this is the most respectful designation she can presume upon in such a situation, "I had wondered in lieu of such, what manner of species you are. To me you are delightfully...mythical." She decides upon a word. "Rather like you might be found in the middle of a maze."
There's an easy wave of a gloved hand. "Truly though, if I am solicited for opinion," and she was, "I would say that I would want you to be whatever version of yourself makes you both happiest and puts your best...foot?" Her glance goes to the aforementioned area. Feet? Hooves? "Forward in enjoyable company."
