Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!

The call for archers prompts the turning of her head, and she takes note of the young man who brings a bow to bear and fires off an arrow. Elizabeth's mouth purses, and with sudden decision, she lifts her pistol in the same general as the young man's arrow and squeezes the trigger.
The sound of the gun going off is commonplace to her, but for someone who's never even seen a firearm, much less heard the sound of one being fired? It might be noticable. Possibly startling.
no subject
He look towards the sound and saw a young woman holding out some strange contraption in her hand, the barrel of it pointed at the monster, the end still smokey. Eyes still widened by surprise, the words fell from his mouth before he could reign them in:
"Seven Hells! What was that?"
no subject
"It's a flintlock pistol; regretfully I have perhaps half a dozen balls for it and I suspect they'll go to assisting in defeating this loathsome sea monster." Elizabeth's expression is grim. "Have you never seen one before, sir?"
And once the bullet and paper are packed, she lifts her arm again, pointing the hollowed end at the sea monster and squeezing the trigger. There's a puff of smoke and the localized explosion once more. Elizabeth doesn't so much as bat an eye.
The monster flinches, but Elizabeth grimly assessing that it's little more than a bee sting to it. But bee stings do hurt, and perhaps it will provide distraction until the cannons arrive.
Goodness, she hopes there will be cannons arriving soon.

He shook his head, watching as Elizabeth repacked her pistol and fired again, this time around only flinching at the sound: "No I have not. Though I can think of a dozen few times this weapon would have been of aid in my world." And perhaps more than a dozen times, if the bullets within the pistol could kill White Walkers.

She looks over. "Miss Elizabeth Bennet. Forgive me if I sound curt; apparently the custom here is for a lady to introduce herself first. I'm not quite used to it."
Gazing up at the monster, her expression is thoughtful. "I am also not accustomed to others speaking of other worlds, but then this is a most unusual circumstance. But I do indeed find that a well aimed pistol is a marvelous medium for resolution if a myriad of problems." She gives him a grin.
no subject
"There is no need to apologize, my lady. I am neither accustomed to the ways of this world." He stood a little bit straighter, and then bow his head lightly: "I am Jon Snow. The realm I was taken from is called Westeros, in which were the Seven Kingdoms. I come from the North, though I was stationed at the Wall." Perhaps this would make little sense to the young woman, but by the way she was speaking, he could sense that she was of noble birth, and that perhaps more information about the young man she was speaking to might interest her.
no subject
She's not trying to make him uncomfortable. For her, the level of accord she's offering is what is considered casual address. After all, they are fighting a sea monster together. Along with half the island, but still.
"I've never heard of Westeros, but then I suspect that you've never heard of England, either." remarks Elizabeth cheerfully. "Do you have creatures such as this? We have rumors of them, but mostly it's just zombies."
no subject
"There was once dragons in the South, but they died long ago, well before I was born." Tilting his head, he frowned lightly, thinking of the night he had burned his right hand:
"I do not know what zombies are, but we do have the 'Others' beyond the Wall, and their wights too: the dead that they raise to serve them. Only fire dragonglass and Valyrian steel can kill them."
no subject
Wights and zombies, it would appear, are effectively the same thing. Isn't it nice to have something in common?

Jon gave her a mildly confused look: "A disease brings the dead back to life in your world? How did that come to pass?" It sounded like something no healers from Westeros would treat.
no subject
"It is most commonly believed to be due to rats carrying diseases from some faraway lands. They climb into ships, you see, pick up illnesses, and then when the ships came home, the rats came with them. Then the rats bit people, and it just got out of control."
