Welcome to Medietas and our first ever Test Drive Meme! As we approach the grand opening of the game on April 1st, we thought we’d kick things off with a little something that will get you all interacting in the new setting! And it’s one less sample you have to worry about on your application if you’re considering our little game here.
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You’ve just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a … floating boat, with people you may or may not know? You can’t help but ponder what’s going on here, but the vessel seems to be approaching a harbor and when it docks, some lovely locals are standing in wait to greet you. After that they hand you a map and communications device and invite you to find your accommodations and explore.
2. Party, party!: On the evening of your first night in the city, a party is being thrown on Aerilon in honor of your arrival. Eat, mingle, dance, meet the other new arrivals! The locals put on quite the celebration!
3. Go Exploring!: There's plenty of places to explore, be it in your designated housing area, or on one of the adjoining community islands! Hike the mountains in Eurus. Sit on the beaches of Imber with a cocktail, or go swimming. Adventure in the forests of Mundus. Be careful though! Every area has it's dangers.
4. The Bells Are Ringing!: And that means a islands wide warning that something dangerous is approaching! But where the heck are they coming from? Nevermind that, the caretakers rally the children and the senior citizens while Scykal, Imber's local sea monster, emerges from the large body of water on the island. Interesting. He hasn't been spotted in a long time. Help the locals defeat him!
5. Wild Card!: Choose your own scenario!
Nebula | Hercules: The Legendary Journeys | Go Exploring!
But this wasn't that same fated beach. She reminded herself of that again and again, as she walked along the line where surf met shore.
She was responsible for no one.
Nebula had never been a huge fan of obligation. But she felt cut off. Lonely. And though she would never admit it out loud...homesick. Not for Sumeria, but for the Greek kingdoms. For Hercules and Jason. Her friends. For Iolaus.
It seemed like she was forever saying goodbye.
One of my favorite characters on that show!
Brenda knows she probably looks silly but she has stopped caring about that ages ago.
"Oh!" She tries to not look overly surprised at seeing another person. "Um. Hello. I guess I'm not the only one who wanted to see the shore."
no subject
Especially when she was so good at it.
Fortunately, the girl didn't look like she presented much of a threat.
"Who wouldn't want to?" she asked, nodding her head out toward the surf. "Just look at that horizon."
no subject
"Looks calmer than what I'm used to," Brenda admits. The ocean here is far different than the coastal town she grew up in. The water is breaking on the shore differently. Smaller waves. It explains a few things about the locals.
"But hey, it's a lot warmer here too. Good change of pace for some of us, I'd wager."
no subject
But. Still.
no subject
"When I was a teenager I used to go out all the time with my Uncles. They're the best captains in our little village," she says with a slight hint of pride.
"Can't these days." She taps her knee brace with her cane. The slight sound of metal is hard to miss.
no subject
And she felt a brief yearning for the crew she'd lost, although she buried it deep, in the place reserved for the worst of her regrets.
She had a few.
"You just need to learn to use the rigging to navigate the deck."
no subject
Wooden leg? Huh, she must be one of the ones from another world Brenda has heard about since getting here. Or maybe time if her armor is anything to go by.
"It just has. Been working at the forge instead."
But the temptation is there. It is hard to hide that Brenda does miss the ocean. "Gods, I do actually miss it. The ocean is certainly less trouble than everything else."
Because she hasn't run into horrible abominations out on the water yet.
no subject
Normal people, when they saw a fire, ran in the opposite direction. Nebula, on the other hand, had a tendency to plunge right in.
"Still," she added, "the forge comes with its own rewards."
no subject
"Oh if that ain't the truth," Brenda chuckles. She has heard things but just hasn't had the chance to confirm them.
"It has it's own challenges. But it wouldn't be fun if it were easy. I'm hoping they have someone here who at least needs a good assistant."
If not she could always go with the insane back up plan.
