He smiled at her laughter. Escaping from trouble was a nice, normal thing to do. He'd sort of missed it. But now the adrenalin was starting to wear off he wasn't completely alright: the way he'd fallen hadn't done his poor, abused shoulders much good. He wasn't about to admit it, though.
"I'm fine," he said, sitting up and wringing the water out from the bottom of his pants. "Are you alright?" Looking back into the drain it seemed quiet, so they were safe at least.
