Laura watched her feeling a pang in her heart. the kindest man I ever knew... That wasn't the father that she'd known but it was her father. Maybe he hadn't really wanted her but even so, he had come to save her and her friends.

Her head fell and she felt a knot of emotions gather in her chest. She pulled the comic against her chest as if to hug the very image of him.
