Jyn offers a very vague smile, something to symbolize solidarity, camaraderie - or at least something very close. She nods, allowing the woman room to do whatever it is that she does (Jyn makes a mental note to ask her about it after the area is secure). She moves at incredible speeds, far faster than any humanoid creature Jyn's experienced in her life. She wonders, then, if perhaps Freya isn't all that human to begin with ..
The screech of anger snaps her out of her thoughts, her feet digging into the sand as she positions herself, varying her glance from the beast to the direction in which she was running. The kick to the eye is all the opportunity Jyn needs, quickly aiming and firing off a handful of bolts one after the other. The last one misses as the creature rears its head back, but the others had done enough damage - the eye is a goner.
As it opens its mouth to let out its mournful howl, Jyn lets off another volley of bolts into the gaping hole. It falls as the other had, a dead weight at the end of a rope.
