If he looked surprised before, he looked almost shell-shocked now. It felt like he'd stepped into some sort of fantasy world. Sure, people had abilities in his own world, but there weren't that many of them and they didn't have that much of a vast variety of powers, or were even things like vampires. One thing the guy said stuck out to him though, and he asked hesitantly, "You... said you're an empath...?"
