"It's not a common ability. I've only run into a few people over the years who can do it naturally." A slight, gentle smile crossed his face. "In this place, you don't need to hide what you can do. No one cares. If I had to guess, I'd say over half the people here had some sort of abilities of one kind or another."

The smile turned sharp for a moment. "And I'd like to see someone try and control me. It'll end poorly for them."

Quickly he returned to the affable persona he'd been before. "No, I'm not from Earth. I'm from a tiny no where world called Tynara. And technically, Trey is a fire-lizard. But he is rather dragon like, isn't he?"

And technically, Alec didn't find Trey on his world but Jordan didn't ask that.
