"Grandchild," Raven said, voice heavy with sarcasm. To be fair, she'd known him for twenty years and if he'd had a child before they'd met, she would be old enough to have a child of her own, but she couldn't imagine any parent willing to let the person who'd abandoned them care for their own child.

It was a topic she tried not to think about. She didn't have any maternal instincts and, if she did, they were well hidden.
