Raven wanted to run up and hug him. A familiar face at last. He'd be able to help her sort out this mess. But then he asked a very unusual question, one that he shouldn't have had to ask. She folded her arms across her chest and stared at him.
"You read a lot of books to me. We did grow up there. You'll have to be more specific." She held up a hand to stop him. "But while I appreciate that you're keeping your mind to yourself, finally, wouldn't it just be easier to take a peek? I promise to think harmless thoughts."
One of the few things she had to thank Emma for was that she'd learned to fend off telepaths. Maybe not forever or even for a long time, but enough that she could keep her mind to herself for a little while. At least, unless Charles was in Cerebro. But Cerebro wasn't here.
