"Erik?" If Raven hadn't heard his voice, heard him call out her name, she might not have recognized him. Not because he looked at all different. He didn't. He looked about the same as the last time she'd seen him. But the Erik she'd known hadn't been holding a baby. He'd had his family, yes, but she'd never met them and she knew for certain that they were dead. It was why he'd turned against them in the first place.

But there he was, a baby clutched to his chest, and he looked all the world as if it was the right thing to be doing. It was somehow incongruous, even though she knew he'd been a father. That wasn't the Erik she knew.

And yet it was still him.

She just looked between baby and - father? - Erik, the question clear in her face.
