Whatever Cassian had been expecting when the woman had approached him, it wasn't an offer for help. Too used to having to fend for himself, too used to being on his own most of the time, without reaching out to anyone he could even vaguely call friend, he forgot that interacting with people was normal, that most people did it regularly.
He shook his head for a moment, then smiled at the woman. "I, um, I'm new here," he said with an apologetic look. "I'm still trying to work out exactly what this place is, and why I'm here." Because he had to be for some purpose other than to save him from dying. He was an intelligence officer, a spy. There had to be some deeper reason for him being here, he just had to find it.
