Marie nodded her head to confirm that she heard him. She wasn't sure what to say and all thought flitted like a bird, rising up and out of her reach. She had made her decision to follow him but it was hard to think of a future when you had never had the option of one before.

She realized that he expected her to say something more. "Thank you." Her voice was soft and respectful.

She then steeled herself, leaving her hand in his until he released it. "Is your sister here too?" Marie has yet to determine where he was.
