Izzy didn't know what she made of these...differences that her brother had. She didn't know what she made of the added information either. Jace and Alec were parabatai, but they wouldn't leave her out when it came to something as important as the discovery that Jace had been kidnapped from his real parents and raised by Valentine under an alias, another man's face, or whatever! Alec, especially, wouldn't just leave her out of the loop floundering without all of the information. So, how was it that the brother in front of her had knowledge that she'd never heard...ever. "Wait!" Izzy held up a hand, a demand that Alec pump the breaks on what he'd been saying. "Hodge didn't act like he knew anything...and mom and dad..." Izzy trailed off, a thoughtful frown marring her face. "I wouldn't be surprised if they'd kept another secret from us, but do you mean they knew from the beginning? They never said anything."

Izzy was trying her best not to get bogged down or confused here, but that was easier said than done.

Some of the things that Alec was saying...didn't quite line up with what she knew was true. She'd been there, after all. She wasn't sure, exactly, what the cause of all of these...conflicting things were, but she was sure that it had to be in relation to magic. Was it the island? Izzy didn't honestly know, but she had some doubt about that being the cause. God, she wished that Magnus were here to check her brother out, his memories, because it seemed like they'd been jumbled and had some random falsehoods thrown in. She had no idea that her brother was thinking the very same thing at this moment. What she did know was that she didn't like this, and she worried. Izzy could only assume that the extra memories were untrue because she knew what had happened. She'd know, she just would. Even if she hadn't been there for every single moment she'd heard about what had happened from others. She and Alec didn't keep secrets, especially.

"Yes, he's fine for now, but he chose to go because Valentine has this...hold over him and convinced him that he needed to. We were all there, we all saw him go through the portal. You held Clary back so that she couldn't run in after him," Izzy elaborated on the memory that she was pretty sure her brother wouldn't ever forget. Watching Jace go had been hard for all of them. She didn't bother to remove her own jacket, instead focusing on her brother, on conveying to him what had happened....and on trying to get to the bottom of all of this somehow. She couldn't quite describe the change that overtook her brother, but she could tell that there was something going on inside that head of his. "He's conflicted, but he's fine. You'd have known if something was wrong, Alec. And we were going to get him back. Jocelyn was woken up and we were...well, we were in the midst of moving forward to figure it out." Izzy offered, knowing that it wasn't as positive as she wanted it to be, but it was something. It was the best that she could do and Izzy didn't want to leave her brother with no words for comfort.

Izzy wasn't sure that coffee was going to help much right about now, but she nodded anyway and followed him into the kitchen. She felt like she had when she was younger, back when she used to follow him around because he was her older brother. Only...now she was the older one, and things were definitely scrambled in some...strange way. She was worried about her brother, whether something was wrong or different or what. That worry intensified because she didn't want to tell him about the wedding. His wedding. At eighteen he shouldn't know about it, so that wasn't a surprise, but she'd already introduced it to the conversation.

"Your wedding." Izzy clarified with a sigh before tucking her curls behind her ears and deciding just to rip the bandaid off. "You weren't dating Magnus before the wedding. You were determined...to marry Lydia in an attempt to protect me, but you couldn't do it. You interrupted the wedding when Magnus walked in." Izzy spoke, watching her brother, worried about embarrassing him...or something, but he was strong, he'd always been and she was only telling him the truth. "Maryse and Robert took exception to you kissing a downworlder right in front of everybody important that had been invited to watch you get married."

Izzy left it at that, knowing that Alec could put together some of the rest of the details himself. He'd surely be able to imagine their parent's reaction beyond that. Plus, there was the fact that Alec....had a peculiar look on his face again and he'd stopped in his mission to make coffee. His sudden declaration only caused Izzy to lift one of her perfectly manicured eyebrows, giving him a bit of a funny look. "I'd hope not, considering I'm your sister." She tacked on dolly only to gasp in shock at the scars that her formerly older brother was revealing.

"I thought you said you were okay!" Izzy accused, a look of concern on her face as she brought her eyes back up to her brother's face once he'd dropped the fabric. She lapsed into a silence, though, as he explained where he thought he'd gotten the injury. She was positive that was something she would've remembered and she definitely didn't. Izzy, almost unconsciously, began to shake her head back and forth, curls springing forth from where she'd tucked them behind her ears. "No, that's no how you met Magnus. We arranged a meeting with him. We were going to trade this." Izzy lifted her hand up to hold up the necklace that was settled around her neck. "We were going to trade it for him to help with Clary's memories, so that she could find the Mortal Cup." Izzy dropped her necklace and paused.

"You weren't even comfortable with the fact that you're gay, let alone confident enough to ask him or anybody else, at that point. You wouldn't even acknowledge it with me."
