1. [NETWORK] [The face that greets the viewer is one that looks more curious than anything else. She has lively blue eyes, dark hair, and pale skin. She also has a row of dots starting on each side of her face, going down beneath that teal and black uniform she is wearing.
She smiles, although it does not quite meet her eyes.]
You know, in my universe, there is a planet called Risa. It used to be pretty unstable, and it didn't have much draw- they changed that, of course, regulating the weather. Which, in turn, made it a perfect place for visitors. Tropical resorts, beautiful beaches... In some ways, it bears a lot in common with this place.
[And here, her expression does get cheeky for a moment.] It's population is known for its open sexuality, and people come- and go- as they please. It's well worth the visit, at least once in your lifetime. More, if you're so lucky- [And now a slightly more serious note, although her expression remains warm, and her face draws back from the feed to show a woman dressed in a uniform.] My name is Jadzia Dax, Lieutenant Commander of Deep Space Nine, and it's good to meet everyone.
2. [GETTING SETTLED] Dax had seen many things, and as such, Jadzia herself had those experiences. There had been those who had done things on Trill, such as Lela and being a legislator for their government, or Audrid, who became head of the Trill Symbiosis Commission, or Emony, who was an Olympic gymnast. Though she, of course, had gone to Earth. And Tobin, the Engineer, Torias, the Pilot, or even Curzon, a womanizer and a top Ambassador of the Federation. And Verad...
Yet, in all of her experiences? This was certainly being one of the oddest. When she had woken up, on a floating ship, her mind had traveled to several areas, and as the ship docked, she thought things through. The first was some threat, but as she had looked around, she had not noticed any others from Deep Space 9 or any of those against the Federation. For the most part, everyone had looked humanoid. Not that they might not have done so on purpose, but for what purpose, Jadzia couldn't fathom, at least not yet.
Then, her mind had turned to the next course. A program? Was she in Quarks, in a Holosuite? It wasn't really his style though, as Jadzia has spent enough time with him to know that. True, he would have been more than happy to have his women running around with no clothes, but she had her clothes. So another’s program? She hadn't been able to find any answers, at least not yet, and although the situation wasn't proving to be ideal, Jadzia hadn't given up hope. As a science officer, it was her job to have a better idea.
Oh, she would rather be at home. Home, where she would move Odo's things a few inches or have dinner with Julian. Where she could throw a party, drink Bloodwine, and converse with Benjamin. Yet, Jadzia wasn't one to wallow in self-pity, and she wasn't going to start now. If nothing else, it was something that no symbiont, to her knowledge, had ever experienced, and after seven lifetimes, seeking new experiences was something that took more effort, but they were always there, always waiting, if one looked.
It was how she found herself in the market on Aerilon, looking at various pieces. She was lively and animated, and spoke with anyone around her. "This place does have quite a lot of good food, doesn't it? But I still like Klingon Gagh the best."
