"Who....?" she asked. No, Essie, wrong question. A name would tell her almost nothing. She had a brain, she needed to use it now. "How is this possible, are you also a Princess?" How much had she missed in her mother's notes? What... had her step mother done. Now she regretted not questioning her before killing her.
About killing her father's deaths, her only complaint on timing was that it hadn't come sooner. She needed to burn off some of this frustration and confusion. As soon as she dealt with whatever this was, princess or not, she needed to find a good cage fight, earn some credits, so she could get something to stitch. Work the body to exhaustion, then the mind to the same. Her fingers twitched, wanting to stitch. She needed to do... something.
But... at least this was a puzzle too. That thought calmed her some.
