It’s actually more ‘disappointment’ than ‘bad news’ that no one has found the answer, but she isn’t going to correct him right now.  “You’re the only one who’s been doing any investigating?  Out of all of these other folk here, none of them have helped ye?”  Are they all useless?

Then she relents a little.  But only a little.  “Aye, I could do with finding someplace to sit.”  If only she doesn’t feel like the shove of the crowd will knock her over.
