Devi nods at the gesture and the declined head shake. The ease that she was pulled up wasn't missed, but it wasn't like she could ask about it.

"So not really, no." Sighing and shouldering her backpack, Devi managed a soft crooked smile towards the woman - there were some concessions that had to be made for lack of verbal communication and while Devi was far from happy, she wasn't snooty or aloof.

"Maybe we can start with names. I'm Devi," she said, tapping a few fingers against her chest to indicate herself.
