Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

Duo probably could if he tried, Shad wasn't really that big. He was just big enough to give the tiny kid a ride. It was like riding the pony version of a lion.

"I think it's cos of the fact that the islands got different climates. Don't ask me how that works, I don't know. I'm just chalking it up to the magic that exists here." It was only a difference of about ten degrees.

"When you said colonies, what did you mean?"

"...Oh." Yeah, that all just went over Duo's head. Climates? Magic? But colonies...colonies Duo could talk about.

"Space colonies. They float up in space and can hold a bunch of people. There are lots of them, but only like, five groups? L1, L2, L3, L4, and L5. I'm from L2." Duo frowned a little in thought as one of his hands moved from Shadow's shirt to touch the fur on the back of the lion's neck. It was kind of soft there. Were lions suppose to be soft? "It's a bunch of fake stuff on the colony. Night and day's on timers, air is given through vents, and the temperature's all the same. It doesn't change."

So like space stations. He sort of understood that, he read a book with a space station in it once.

His mane was fairly soft, a little frizzy, but it was fur, not hair. The shorter fur around his neck was really soft and fuzzy.

"Artificial you mean? Oh. Okay." He keep on walking, nearing the city and off the bridge now.

"Well, welcome to... Some planet. Terrestrial, floaty island world." THAT MAKES SENSE RIGHT?!

Right.

"Best not to question it right now."

"I know 'bout planets," Duo huffed, but he was still interested in what he could learn. He never left the colony, and while the Earth Sphere people seemed like a bunch who would believe anything, the planet itself...Duo wanted to know more.

Of course, the Earth Sphere and this terrestial, floaty island world did not seem to match any description of that. He wanted to ask, but Shadow didn't know more than what he had already said. Maybe someone else would know? Or maybe not. Oh well. He'll figure it out sometime.

"M'kay. S'just...weird. I've never seen anything like this 'fore."

Good. He nods, but keeps walking out towards the kidcamp. He thinks about how to respond to what Duo has to say, then glances back starting to speak between pants. He looked overexerted now. Need some water when they get back for sure.

"I was told of a place called the 'Shadow Shard'. Same kinda deal, floaty islands and the like. Only difference is that there's all kinds of crazy monsters there. Like... my Grandpa showed me a drawing once. Monsters that were winged eyeballs and stuff. I'd never go there. But most of what Grandpa told me was true, just so I'd know what I needed to look out for."

Winged eyes? Monsters? More floaty islands? What the hell?

"We didn't have to worry 'bout all that. Just...the Alliance. Loads of people got sick once..." BUT ENOUGH ABOUT THAT! Duo shook his head and looked at the environment around him. Loads of buildings, like the colony. But these were nicer. Much nicer.

"How much longer 'til we get to where we're going?"

"Give or take five minutes. Ida run if it weren't so hot. At least you get to ride." So hush up, little monkey.


"Sick, huh? I bet, a big floating space station n' the sky they prolly fucked up with something. Rebreathing the same air, redrinking the same water. Ick."

"If I run, I'll probably fall right over when we get there." But he does pick up the pace.

"You ever seen a horse before?"

"Was more than that. It was a plague. S'what the adults called it. And the Alliance were the only folks who had medicine that could cure it." He had stolen some for Solo, but he was too late. He gripped at Shadow's shirt tighter, and it took a moment for him to realize it. Duo loosened his hold with a huff.

"Y'don't gotta run. I was just curious. S'all new and stuff." Gotta learn the ropes. And about horses...

"Not...in real life. In books, but that's it. We don't need 'em. We got cars and shuttles and the Alliance has mobile suits."

"Ew." A plague sounded gross. The whole thing sounded terrible, but he wasn't gonna do that false sympathy thing like adults did.

"You had that at least. I lived in a pirate ship for a while but it was all broke." Nice enough a place to hide.

"Maybe later I'll show you ny sword."

"Yeah...ew." It was a bad thing, and watching everyone be sick, yeah it was gross. Fake sympathy would just make Duo mad, so this was nice. Better.

"Pirate ship? Not like our shuttles, right? And you have a sword? Do you have a gun, too?"

Because that was just as important?

"Ever seen a pirate movie?" He asks, letting the thing about the virus kinda go to the way side, it wasn't worth talking about or dwelling on.

"I do got a sword, but I don't have the gun. It was a really old one. I wanted to sell it for cash money." You know, cos cash money sounds like it'd be alot.

"I'll show you my sword when we get back."

"Pirate movie?" Duo shook his head in response. He wasn't so lucky he got to enjoy much stuff like that. "I never saw somethin' like that." Cash money does sound a lot, at least to Duo. So he couldn't help but ask...

"D'ya think the sword's worth lots here? This whole place, I mean."

"Probably not, they got better swords here, I seen so far. Even Thorfinn's got better stuff." Shad says as they finally finally arrive at the place he himself was so scared of the moment they arrived.

"This place is a school, but they leave me alone. I'm not gonna deal with any of that junk. Still, they got a place to stay and lots of food."

Duo looked up as they arrived. He had thought to ask about this "Thorfinn" person, but he was distracted by the mere SIZE of the building. His eyes went wide.

"S'bigger than the church," he whispered, completely in awe.
