Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
Firion | Final Fantasy II/Dissidia | Scenario 3
He didn't feel comfortable doing that, but everyone seemed friendly enough, if a bit nervous around him. Firion sighed, looking at his map again before folding it and putting it away for now. He also had no idea how to work the communicator he got, not even knowing it was a communicator at all, so it was left turned off in his pocket. The young warrior looked around, maybe he could find someone who also arrived on the ship to help him out.
He found thought he found one and approached them, noting their attire was a little different from the locals. "Um, excuse me sir/ma'am. I don't mean to intrude, but could I get some help?"

The friends she had made in that strange place were gone. The other warriors who were sworn to Cosmos... what would they think of her absence? Would they worry? Would they think she'd defected? Chaos's soldiers did like to provoke her in that cruel way from time to time, as if they were well aware of the darkness in her soul, and some of her own allies had overheard their enemies' rather telling taunts. She didn't like to think that they were perhaps questioning her loyalty too, but... at least if they weren't here with her, it probably meant they were still fighting for Cosmos.
That was somewhat reassuring— enough anyway to make her legs remember how to work.
Cecil was watching the crowd in an attempt to discern the natives from the others who had arrived on the ship with her, when something reached her ears that made her blue eyes go wide: a voice. She strained her neck, turning turned her head this way and that, the beads in her hair clicking softly together with the movement, Cecil looking desperately for the speaker.
"Firion?" she called out when she thought she saw a familiar figure in the distance, then louder and with more confidence when the crowd parted and she could see him better, "Firion!"

Regardless, Firion did recognize Cecil. The sudden gender change was momentarily forgotten as he approached his friend. He gently worked his way around the other locals, careful not to poke anyone, and greeted his friend with a smile. "Cecil, you've arrived as well? Do you know happen to know where we are?"
He, too, didn't feel Cosmos' light. Of course, the fact that he had been on his way home may have had something to do with that, but it was still jarring. The last person he saw was the Warrior of Light, so he had assumed Cecil had arrived home. And not quite female. His cheeks colored lightly as he took in his friend's form. Not entirely sure how to address is. Was he someone who simply identified as the opposite gender despite what they were born with? Firion wasn't entirely knowledgeable about this sort of this and he wished Maria or Leon were here to help.

"Firion—" she breathed with a bright smile, reaching out to take his hand between hers in a friendly greeting, unable to help getting caught up in the moment. "I am afraid I do not... but for what it is worth, I am glad you are here with me."
She's so distracted by her emotions, in fact, that she didn't even notice the color in his cheeks until she felt his gaze rake over her figure suddenly. It was such a shocking act to her coming from him that she actually jerked backwards a bit, her hold on his hand wavering for a moment. Odd... she knew he was rather shy around herself and the other females in Cosmos' little makeshift army, but this behavior was out of character for him. He seemed almost... disbelieving at seeing her... and yet he'd said her name, so he obviously recognized her.
"Er... is something wrong...? Besides the matter of our sudden relocation, I mean..."
no subject
He stammered. "I-I apologize! It's nothing that y-you're thinking off! It's just..."
How does one even broach a subject like this? He couldn't tell a lie to save his life but nor did he want to offend his friend. Because this was still Cecil, no matter the gender. He sighed and bit his lip. "Last I saw you, Cecil, you were much taller and quite easily masculine. You responded to 'he' and so... well, last I saw you, you were male. So, please, forgive me, but I'm simply very confused."
He knew Maria would have told him to just speak his mind, and Firion was generally careful with his words, even if his naivete sometimes got the better of him.

"I... am afraid I have no idea what you speak of," she replied at last after she realized she wasn't going to get her own answers just by staring at Firion with bewilderment on her face. "I have always been this height for as long as you have known me and I have never seen myself as a man. Certainly, my life would have been far easier had I been born as such or even had identified as such, but I have never felt the sex of my body did not match my perception of who I am."
Well... she used to have other problems with her body, but those were all somewhat superficial insecurities, rooted in the uniqueness of her looks compared to the golden haired and bronzed skin of her peers in Baron. She wasn't about to explain that to Firion though and she never had told any of the other soldiers in Cosmos's army about it either— not even the Warrior of Light.
"As far as I can recall, you have never mistaken me for a boy. You have always responded to me and treated me as you do around other females. I truly have no explanation for this... ah, discrepancy in our memories."
no subject
Their memories were not exactly the best during the Conflict. But when they won, their memories returned and they retained the ones gained in the last Cycle. Firion was fearing he couldn't trust his memories all over again and he sighed, looking rather distraught. Then, he blinked and furrowed his brow.
"Other females? Aside from Terra?" He tilted his head. Terra was the only other female aside from Cosmos. If others were other female in Cecil's version of her memories then...
"What if... we are both correct? We both have the correct memories, I mean."
