Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
SQUEEE (also so sorry XD. Anders is DA2 Act II)
Then he saw Cullen. Andraste's flaming tits maybe it wasn't too late to turn around. That corner right over there looked very interesting. Maybe he could just study the ground and Cullen would miraculously go away. He had been enjoying his Templar free existence. Clearly whoever was behind these boats was intent on raining on his parade. After all, they brought Nadia here.
Oh MAN. This is gonna go so badly
Really? Of all the people to find here in a strange place, it had to be Anders? His hand went automatically to his side to where his sword was, but he dropped it. To say he was conflicted was an understatement. The old Cullen would have no difficult in running forward and running his sword through Anders - Maker only knows the man deserved it. But as much as he remembered Kirkwall, and the mess that was left in the way of the explosion, he also knew he'd moved on from that phase of his life. He was married to a mage. He accepted the fact that any children he had might well be mages. One of his closest friends was now a Magister in Tevinter. He wasn't the same Cullen. He stared at Anders for a moment, Cal tense beside him and growling, ready for action.
Yes, yes it will
"Ser Cullen! Lovely to see you. You should try the food stand right around the corner." Anders held up the meat on a stick he had in one hand, since Marian was quite convinced he was going to float away in a breeze one day.
Dammit. Why did it have to be Cullen? And why couldn't Hawke be here? At least then if he decided to be the brave Templar and arrest him, he'd have backup. As it was he had 2 offensive spells and he left his staff at home. Mr. Muscular over there was going to have no problem running him through. The real problem he was going to have was keeping Justice under control. If he even could.
no subject
"What are you doing here?" he demanded of the mage. He'd given him the chance to escape with Hawke after the fight with Meredith, surely he wouldn't be so stupid as to try anything again. "I should take you in, let the Inquisition deal with you." But was there an Inquisition here? He still didn't know.
Cal had sensed his master's distress, and was growling as he looked at Anders.
no subject
"You could. Don't know what an Inquisition is but it sounds nasty. You might try changing the name. Something like Snuffy Bunnywiggims. So have you found any other mages to torment, or is it just me so far?"
no subject
He narrowed his eyes, anger boiling just below the surface, but not for the reasons Anders might think. He'd made such great strides in his dealings with mages. Yes, he would always be a little wary, but not without very good cause. "I'm sure my wife would be pleased to hear you refer to her in such terms." Yes, Anders. He's married to a mage. It's generally well known. Something for you to deal with.
no subject
"Right, of course. How could I ever forget, Ser Knight. I am your business." He scoffed. "You married a mage? They actually let you? Maker, did you even take her feelings into consideration at all?" Anders knew how much Cullen had changed since Kinloch Hold. He didn't like the man he knew at Kirkwall. Then again, he didn't like any Templars, really.
"Who is your wife?" Poor woman.
no subject
"I married for love, nothing else. Her name is Lady Nadia Trevelyan." The expression that suddenly crossed his face couldn't be missed for anything except love. Though if he'd heard anything of the Inquisition, he'd know exactly who she was.
OMG Anders wtf
"You're a Templar and you always will be."
And then, Anders brain completely broke. A bit of Justice broke free, just for a moment, and Anders glowed blue. "Nadia is your wife." He said flatly at first. "Nadia. Nadia!?: And then he started raising his voice and laughing almost hysterical. " I knew it! I knew she was working with the Templars. I just didn't think she BLOODY MARRIED ONE! No wonder you have her so brainwashed. Good job."
It's a thin line there, Anders
To put it mildly. He stood stock still, every inch of him tense as he regarded the man who had caused so much trouble. No matter how bad the Gallows had been, the devastation caused by his attack on the Chantry made everything else pale into insignificance.
Cal, however, who had been standing quietly beside Cullen had no such compunctions. Sensing his master's mood, he barked once in warning, then hunkered down, growling as he prowled closer to Anders, warning the stranger of the danger he was in. Neither Cullen nor Cal touched him, but it was a hard fought thing.
"I am giving you one warning, apostate. Because that is who I am now." The old Cullen wouldn't have warned him, would simply have reacted. "Insult my wife again and you will pay for it," he said, his voice grating as he fought to keep control against this... maleficar.
Scary Templar is Scary
And there was an angry Mabari edging toward him. Dammit, this was why he was a cat person. Anders took a few steps back, and made a mental note to stop leaving his staff at home. Not that it would help against Cullen. But it made him feel a little better. No, maybe that was a bad idea, making himself more of a threat. Justice was no doubt appalled at the thoughts going through Anders head, as he wondered about pushing the Templar to see just what injustices Cullen could release.
Cullen might be able to see the war struggling inside Anders, flashes of blue light searing his skin, eyes glowing blue, before Anders fear squashed Justice back.
He swallowed and the words came out of his mouth before he could even stop them. "Sorry, Ser."
Maker, he was ashamed of himself, standing there practically surrendering to Cullen.
Everything that is wrong with Thedas in this thread...
There was also a part of Cullen that was viscerally exultant at provoking this response, but he quashed that quickly. Yes, his wife had been insulted, but she was perfectly capable of standing up for himself. There was no need to take that out on anyone. He was not that man anymore.
Taking a sharp breath, he took a step back, studying Anders. He was flickering, his eyes changing as he looked at him. So Justice was fighting for control. He wondered who was in charge now... but given Ander's reaction, there could only be one answer. "I suggest you get out of my sight," he growled out, giving Cal a sharp command to come to heel. He was still mad at the apostate, but that was warring with the part of him that was terrified of becoming the Templar again.
He would not be the old Cullen anymore.
