Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!

You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!

How To Play:

→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!

Possible Scenarios:

1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!

2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!

3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.

4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!

CRAU!

Draco wasn't unfamiliar with this whole thing, but being dragged alone to a new place was just slightly disconcerting. He wasn't entirely sure what it meant for him, but he wasn't wholly fond of it. He'd been there a day or so, but he hadn't really been that interested in getting to know anyone. Or getting a job. Or honestly doing much, though he knew that wasn't exactly possible. All these places expected you to just settle in and live life. He'd been doing that, thank you very much.

Honestly, once the initial realisation that he was by himself there had sunk in, the wizard mostly just realised that he was angry.

But even so, he decided to acquaint himself with the place too, meandering the various islands in a bit of a huff, probably dissuading most people from ever talking to him. Sometimes the shops struck his fancy, sometimes they didn't. And as he was stepping away from one, he made the mistake of doing so without glancing behind him, merely turning to walk away.

And unfortunately, he stepped straight into a wheelchair and nearly went straight over. Thankfully, he managed to catch himself, and his initial response was not, amazingly, irritation. It was, instead, exasperation, mostly directed at himself. "Terribly sorry."

Instinctively hands came up from the arms of his wheelchair and prepared to be toppled on. Charles wasn't upset in the least and it happened often enough that it simply became a hazard to being paraplegic.

After making sure the man was on his feet again solidly, he offered a smile.

"No apologies necessary. I'm a bit short and not always easy to see." he answered, making light of the almost accident with a bit of a chuckle.

Draco instinctively made a face, pushing one hand back through his hair awkwardly; his cheeks were threatening to turn a bright shade of pink because he really did pride himself on generally not running into people like that. But apparently that wasn't meant to be.

"Admittedly," he murmured, still glancing away as he worked to fight off impending embarrassment, "You are a bit short."

Once he'd finally regained his composure, he dared to step back, giving the man (with the overly familiar voice) a wry smile in return. And immediately blinked, the smile faltering. "Oh," Draco said simply. He didn't need to ask if he was remembered or not; it was abundantly clear that was a no.

"Are you all right, at least?"
