Test Drive

Welcome to Medietas! Are you interested in joining the game? Do you have an old muse you want to dust off? Are you looking for a place to voice test a brand new character and would like to do so in our little island setting? Well, you've come to the right place!
You all know what to do but if you don’t, just follow the instructions and HAVE FUN!
How To Play:
→ Comment with the character you’d like to test drive. Don’t forget to add their name and canon in the subject line.
→ Choose a scenario, or start your own!
→ Tag around!
Possible Scenarios:
1. New Arrival: You have just arrived on the island of Medietas, in the city of Aerilon via a floating boat with people you may or may not know. Of course, you can't help wondering what the heck is going on here, or how you even got on the boat in the first place. But as soon as the vessel docks you are greeted by some lovely locals who offer you a map and a communications device before leaving you to your own. You probably have questions and there seems to be a number of people there already who may or may not have those answers. Talk to them! Or, get on the network and introduce yourself!
2. Getting Settled: So, you've arrived, but now there's five islands you should get yourself acquainted with. Meet your starter home neighbors! Start your new job! Check out the market on Aerilon. Or, attend one of the many block parties!
3. Lost!: Somehow you got yourself turned around and confused and getting back to where you want to be is looking impossible.
4. Wild Card: Got something else in mind and want to create your own scenario? Go for it!
The Iron Bull | Dragon Age: Inquisition | 4
That was why he was poking through the different stalls at the market and then heading on to the different shops. People still eyed him somewhat warily as he walked around but he ignored it. He was used to people staring at him like they didn't know what to make of him and he figured that was going to happen to him a lot more here on the different islands. So far, he hadn't seen any other Qunari around and there was only a handful of people who knew what he was. So he understood the looks that he got and sometimes he returned them with a bit of a smirk but he didn't really stop.
Not unless he wanted to stop which he did now and then. He could be found standing in front of the odd store here and there, studying the window display and what laid beyond.

"Have you tried cupcakes yet? I think I've put on nearly a stone since I arrived."
no subject
"But of course, I've tried them. Have you tried the ice cream cupcakes?" He made a low guttural noise that let her know just how much he had enjoyed them. "They're amazing. You should try them, boss. You'll gain another stone or two in just a couple days but they're worth it."
no subject
"I've been enjoying those, as well. Honestly, I thought the Orlesians had the best pastries, but I have never seen such sheer variety." And she's always had a weakness for anything sweet and flaky.
no subject
"I know, it's amazing!" He grins as he looks around again, giving the air a sniff so he can enjoy the different smells. "This is way better than that party at Halamshiral. Though I haven't found those spicy nuts yet."
Which is a disappointment.
no subject
"I think you're the only one who actually liked the spicy nuts," she teases with a sideways grin at him. A lot of people are staring at them, and it's starting to annoy her, though. Of course, the Iron Bull always draws stares, but it seems much worse here.
no subject
"Probably but that just means there are more for me and I don't have a problem with that." He chuckles before noticing something that passes over her features. She is annoyed and he knows why.
"Don't worry about it, boss." His voice softens so only she can hear him. It always amazes him when she gets a little bit defensive over him. "They'll stop staring eventually. They just need to get used to me."
no subject
"They have to know how abominably rude it is, no matter how strange you look," she points out.
no subject
She's glad she's wearing shorts, boots. She could run.
Except no, screw that. The Splendid Angharad puts some steel in her spine, straightens her shoulders, like he's merely tall and not gigantic.
"They have such knick-knacks where you're from?" Splendid asks him, tilting her head towards the porcelain figurines. Some are of women being figuratively eaten by their skirts, others are more disturbing.
She does like the look of the spiky lizards, though.
no subject
"I haven't seen anything like them but I'm sure I've seen worse." He comments as he looks them over again before eyeing her once more. She is a stunning thing.
He also catches the way her gaze warms a little when she looks at the spiky lizards and so he points at them. "I like them though. I'm not usually one for little things like that but I might get one or two for the house they put me in."
no subject
Still, his snort and amused comment warm her enough to smile back. Not broadly, butrueful and amused.
"I don't know, define worse," she says. Then she adds, "I've never had little things like this. But I'm with you. Though maybe I'd a few more."
One for each of her sisters.
no subject
"Trust me, if you could see some of the shit the Vints come up with, you would be horrified." He pauses. "They are people from my world. Trust me, you're better of not knowing."
Okay, so Dorian isn't that bad but that is not the point right now.
He looks down at the spiky lizards, nodding. "Which ones would you pick?"
no subject
"Yeah? I don't know, I think you should see some of the things we have, back home."
The heads of baby dolls, Bull. And spikes. Lots of both. And skulls.
"That one," and she points with an elegant finger towards the smaller one, with ochre-coloured spots. "Reminds me of one of my sisters."
Toast she's sure would be flattered. Small and spiky and a permanent side-eye.
no subject
"Let's go in and buy them." He decides suddenly, motioning at the door. "Before someone else can get the chance to buy them."
no subject
"Why not."
It is a dangerous feeling, to take to theart others. But at the same time, the lizards are charming. And she has to learn to take things like that.
So her expression turns devious and determined and she strides towards the door. No quick, furtive rush, but high head and confident like of course all will go to plan.
no subject
So he follows with a bit of a smirk, especially when he has to duck down a bit to get through the door. If he seemed big before, he seems even more so now as he straightens once they are inside. He moves carefully though, surprisingly light on his feet while he follows along. He is also actively ignoring the shop owner that is staring at him like....well, like he's a bull in a china shop.
no subject
But if it helps Bull any at all, she's drawing some of the stares away from him.
"You are far too big and far too heavy for this, sweetling," she sighed at the dragon as she loaded her basket with various fruits from the vendor. "You could go hunt, you know. That way we would both have full bellies. No?" She sighed and shook her head as Rhaegal's claws worked further into her leather vest. "Very well, then."
:) Anders is Act II
What was completely unexpected was a Qunari poking around the stalls. It was true. He was hard to miss. Anders realized he'd actually never interacted with any Qunari before, especially one mingling with humans so easily.
Part of him wondered if he was going to sew Anders lips shut.
"Um. Hello." Anders said awkardly since it was a better opening than 'are you planning on cutting my tongue out and sewing my lips shut?'
no subject
"Are you looking for a particular store?" It always pays to start off politely. Especially with qunari. It had earned her some amount of respect from the Arishok himself--not that the respect hadn't stopped him from skewering her like a nug shishkabob. "I can direct you somewhere if I know where it is, or I can direct you to people who might know, if I don't."
