Haji had come to learn that people seemed to arrive certain times of month, but since Diva had come he had not paid much mind to the new arrivals, being new himself and with three people he needed to care for, one begrudgingly; the other two quite willingly, he just didn't allow himself time to wander while they were awake. Today he was off from one job and not due into the other until sunset. He had not asked Diva's permission, the girls knew him better so when their uncle as Kai had insisted Haji be called offered them lunch the girls were happily skipping along. Each holding on to one of his hands.
The cello case, as always was on his shoulder. But the two girls, with their hair cut so like Saya's and their smiles like Riku's, these girls had become his life. While his mistress slept her long years it was something to focus on, something to help time pass. Something he felt she would have wanted.
"Uncle Haji!" Hibiki called out. "Can we have cake!" She called up as he looked down at her, a smile, he could smile for the girls like he did for Saya.
"Only if you eat, Hibiki. You as well, Kanade." Both girls looked a little cross at being denied sweets first, but that was quickly forgotten when Hibiki noticed her "Mama! Mama cut her hair!" She called out as Haji's eyes went wide taking in the sight of the woman, that wasn't Diva... that wasn't Diva at all. His breath caught in his throat. "...Saya." The word came from his voice. She was awake... how was she awake? How was she here? Nothing made sense here.
"Auntie Saya?" Hibiki and Kanade spoke in unison, Kai and Haji spoke a lot about auntie Saya.
