( arrival )
The last thing Caitlin remembers is sneaking out of CCPD, her heart racing, blood pounding in her ears as she tries not to draw attention to herself. She remembers running through the city's streets. She remembers Jay's ultimatum, and still choosing to leave.

It takes a moment, once she opens her eyes, to register that she's in a boat. That it's daylight, that nothing looks at all familiar. And that she isn't in the boat alone. For the rest of the journey, she curls in on herself, trying to hide the fact that she's been wearing the same clothes for a week and that she hasn't showered in that long. She hasn't slept in nearly that long either. Thankfully, it isn't much time before the boat docks and someone is kindly reaching to help her out.

That same someone presses a map into one of her hands and something that very much looks like a cell phone in her other. Out of reflex, she nods and smiles, and it seems that the person takes that to mean that she's okay and has no questions. Except all she has are questions, her mind spinning with them at dizzying speeds. Not wanting to bother any of the others around, she walks until she finds a place that looks safe to sit down, to get her bearings. Looking at the map, she talks to herself.

"Where am I?"
( network )
[ She's taken her time, let herself get settled into her new home. Well, settled enough to eat something and take a long shower. Too restless to sleep just yet, her attention turns to the network. But it takes too long to scroll through and watch the various entries, not when there's really one question that's occupying her thoughts. ]

Hi. [ Caitlin's voice betrays her nerves, as does her rather uncertain expression. Her hair is wet, still dripping onto the towel around her shoulders, and it's very noticeable that her face is drawn and that she hasn't slept in some time.

But still, she's soldiering on.
]

Someone down by the docks said that, often, there's people here from the same place. I'm hoping that's true? I could just... really use a familiar face right now. If Central City or Star City are familiar to you, please say hi.

[ She glances down. ] Thanks.
