Helga Hufflepuff gripped the saddlebags that hung over her left shoulder a little tighter as the ship flew closer towards the floating islands. The saddlebags that she carried were practically empty. She distinctly remembered loading them with provisions for a two-day trip. Helga remembered wrapping bread and cheese and placing them carefully. After was when her memory grew foggy until she had found herself awakening on a floating ship.
Until she figured out where she was, Helga was going to keep to herself. She was not scared but a little caution would not harm her.
Three Lost. She was actually lost. Not being able to remember the last time this had happened to her didn't matter. It didn't serve her any purpose except to feel somewhat annoyed with herself. Helga frowned. It served her right for going out too far in unfamiliar territory and until she sorted out how the townsfolk felt about magic, she was left with only one option.
Helga took out her wand and held it flat on the palm of her hand. "Find North." Her wand lifted a few inches above her palm and began spinning before finally stopping and pointed the way North.
There was nothing strange about a women in the middle of nowhere asking to be pointed north, right?
Four Helga had waded out to the middle of a rocky stream on the island of Mundus. Her dress was hiked up to her knees and her sleeves pushed up as well. Near her, on the rocky bank, sat her shoes and another pile of rocks. There was a small fire going as well. The water was painfully cold at first touch. Helga was fine now but at some points she could not feel her toes.
Every so often, Helga would find the size rock she needed and would pick it up out of the water and toss it to the bank of the stream. What else was she going to use to transfigure with? She needed a mortar and pestle, a few different sizes actually. There were rules with magic. She couldn't create anything out of thin air after all.
