Alric raised his eyebrows at the sight of someone brandishing a sword, particularly so unsteadily, and dressed as the fellow was, and raised his right hand in a soothing gesture. The other rested on the pommel of the sword worn at his hip, although he made no other indication of intending to draw it.

At least, not unless the situation escalated considerably.

"Ah.. easy, now. Wherever you just were, no one here means you any harm, I assure you of that."

His expression was quite serious, but he offered a polite, diplomatic smile.
