"You're alive?!" His voice cracked. The two word spoken weren't any kind of answer to her question but maybe his watery eyes and strained voice gave away that they weren't coming from the same time. Derek watched her in shock. He wanted to touch her yet feared she was a dream. She was in his almost every night. They weren't all nightmares, sometimes old happy memories resurfaced or an alternate ending to what he last experienced. "Is it really you?"
